Description
Request for Information for the DHS S&T Critical Incident Management Technology Assessment. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) National Urban Security Technology Laboratory (NUSTL) is considering conducting an operational assessment of technologies in August 2017 called DHS S&T Critical Incident Management Technology Assessment (CIMTA). DHS S&T CIMTA is a program designed to bring together urban first responder communities and technology developers to identify emerging technology solutions to capability gaps that can be applied during a critical incident response occurring in an urban environment. This is a Request for Information for Participation (RFIP) only. Respondents who are selected will be asked to enter into a Limited Purpose Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (LP-CRADA) with DHS S&T to participate in CIMTA. Solutions must be at the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) ((1)-see below) 6 or above. ((1) See the definitions for TRLs at this URL: https://esto.nasa.gov/files/trl_definitions.pdf ) Industry participants that respond will not be paid for the information submitted and the Government will not pay for any submission preparation/related costs. Documents submitted in response to this RFIP will not be returned. The Government is under no obligation to provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted under this RFIP. There is no guarantee that any submission in response to this RFIP will result in a Government invitation to the operational assessment. The Government may or may not use any responses to this RFIP as a basis for a subsequent project.
