- Request for Letter of Interest, Stage 1 of Dual-Stage Procurement Process for Microgrid Controller Technology. The Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF), a part of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory located in Golden, Colorado, is seeking responses to this Request for Letters of Interest (RLOI) from qualified Respondents who wish to compete for a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) to supply Microgrid control technologies for a permanent Microgrid research testbed in the ESIF. The ESIF houses an unparalleled collection of state-of-the-art capabilities that support the development, evaluation, and demonstration advanced energy technologies and the controls that enable us to integrate them into our energy infrastructure. Responding to the RLOI is required to be considered for receipt of the formal RFP.
