- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) KC-135R Aircraft Externally Serviced Latrine Modification PURPOSE The AFLCMC/WKK, Legacy Tanker Contracting Office, Tinker AFB, OK, is conducting market research to determine the estimated cost of developing and providing installation kits and procedures for an externally serviced Aircraft Latrine for 9 Turkish KC-135R Aircraft. The information should also include estimated cost and schedule to develop, install, and qualify one prototype system on one of the nine Turkish Airforce KC-135R aircraft. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued solely for information and planning purposes. We request respondents provide commercial pamphlets, operating/maintenance manuals, drawings, or any other documentation that would describe a unit that meets the requirements. We also request Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for all items and that pricing is valid FY18 thru FY20. ROM pricing will be used for planning purposes only. DESCRIPTION OC-ALC is requesting information pertaining to the availability of a Commercial-Off -The-Shelf (COTS) reliable system/ component to incorporate into the KC-135R aircraft. The goal is to update existing relief facilities to support current and future operations, to include external servicing with a capacity to service 25 people for 12 hours, avoid health hazards of handling waste, and does not promote aircraft corrosion. RESPONSE Responses shall address: 1. Performance parameters, to include design and installation a) Wiring harness produced using approved aerospace grade wire insulation per ANSI/NEMA WC275000. b) Motor assembly qualified for use in an explosive atmosphere per MIL-STD-810 or RTCA DO-160. c) Flush Switch qualified for use in an explosive atmosphere per MIL-STD-810 or RTCA DO-160. d) Latrine must meet the environmental requirements (temperature, shock, vibration, etc.) of applicable RTCA DO-160 series standards. 2. Program Estimated Cost information (ROM) 3. Delivery schedule/product availability 4. Changes to electrical power systems 5. Suggestion that satisfy airworthiness requirements 6.
