Description
This project is set-aside for Total Small Business. The NAICS code for this project is 115310. The small business size standard is no greater than $19.0 Million in average annual receipts over the past three years. Only offers from firms that are certified to meet both Small Business status and the size standard will be considered. You may contact your local U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) office (federal, not state office) for more information on the small business program. Your local SBA office's contact information may be found by accessing the SBA website (www.sba.gov). The intent of this contract is to secure services to pre-commercially thin trees, fell snags, and hand pile activity fuels and down logs in conifer stands. Work activities are to be accomplished utilizing hand-held or manual equipment. There are three work areas that may be awarded separately. Saxon Thinning- The project area consists of 298 acres with a contract length of 1 season. It is expected that the contractor shall begin work within ten (10) days of award of this contract if awarded with in the operational season (June 1st thru Oct 15th), or an agreed start date based upon workable conditions within the Lake Tahoe Basin. Location: The project area is located within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit in the South Shore area of Lake Tahoe. Access to all 13 units within the contract area are southeast of Meyers, CA and south of Pioneer Trail. From Meyers, head east on Pioneer Trail then turn right onto Oneidas Street. Proceed to the end of Oneidas Street, continue east on Forest Service System Road 1201 approximately.4 miles to its intersection with Forest Service System Road 12N01A. Proceed south on Forest Road 12N01A for approximately.5 miles. Lily Thinning- The project area consists of 357 acres with a contract length of 1 season. It is expected that the contractor shall begin work within ten (10) days of award of this contract if awarded with in the operational season (June 1st thru Oct 15th), or an agreed start date based upon workable conditions within the Lake Tahoe Basin. Location: The project is located within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe, California. Access to the project area is from Fallen Leaf Rd, Tahoe Mountain Rd, forest roads 1214, 1216, 1201, 12N01D, 12N08, 12N21, 12N21A, 1103, and forest trails 18E01.1 and PC 2000A (Pacific Crest Trail). See the vicinity map (Exhibit A) and project area maps (Exhibits A-1 thru A-11). Maps are general in nature and are not to be considered as definitively identifying locations. Secret Thinning- The project area consists of 245 acres with a contract length of 1 season. It is expected that the contractor shall begin work within ten (10) days of award of this contract if awarded with in the operational season (May 1st thru Oct 15th), or an agreed start date based upon workable conditions within the Lake Tahoe Basin. Location: The project is located within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit in the East Shore area of Lake Tahoe. The project location consists of 10 units in two areas: 9 units are located off of Hwy 50 at the Spooner summit area on both the north and south side of Hwy 50. One unit is located approximately 3 miles north of Hwy 50 along Hwy 28 in between Skunk Harbor and Secret Harbor on the east side of Hwy 28. See the vicinity map (Exhibit A) and project area maps (Exhibits A-1 thru A-4). Maps are general in nature and are not to be considered as definitively identifying locations. Contractor Responsibility: The Contractor shall provide everything--including, but not limited to, all technical expertise, equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, incidentals, and supervision--necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government. The solicitation package will be uploaded when ready, approximately May 8, 2017. The date of award is expected to be within 15-30 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
