Description
Subject: Total Shield Surgical Helmet System This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339112 (SURGICAL AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT MANUFACTURING) and whether or not the items requested are offered on a federal supply schedule or as an open market item. The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago is looking for Total Shield Advanced Surgical Helmet with LED Lighting. Zimmer US, Inc. is known to meet the needs of the Government. This Surgical Helmet System must meet the following salient characteristics: 1. Helmet must have whole head external ambient differentiated airflow 2. Must be battery operated and built in batter life indicator 3. Must have a charge to recharge the battery. 4. Must have a surgical hood 5. Helmet must meet the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation performance attributes. 6. Must have 190 degrees of view 7. Must have LED headlight 8. Must have Togas in various sizes Interested VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product Business size Socioeconomic status; and If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is (NAICS) 339112 (SURGICAL AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT MANUFACTURING) with a size standard of 1,000 employees- Responses are to be submitted by e-mail to Antanette.Shellaugh@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 4:00 pm Central Standard Time on Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
