- DHS Reverse Industry Day IV Announcement The intent of this Federal Business Opportunities notice is to inform the public of internal activities the DHS Office of the Chief Procurement Officer is implementing as part of Acquisition Innovations in Motion (AIiM), an effort to structure and communicate the Department's approach to industry engagement and acquisition initiatives designed to improve how DHS does business. In support of AIiM and the Unity of Effort initiative, this learning event is designed to improve DHS's understanding of industry processes and methodologies related to identifying and tracking DHS opportunities, pricing, proposal preparation, and various contract performance considerations. The event will provide DHS's acquisition workforce an opportunity to learn about the issues that are most important to industry when doing business with the Department. The purpose of this special notice is to announce that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will host Reverse Industry Day IV training event for DHS employees tentatively scheduled for June 28, 2017 in Washington, D.C. Please note that this is not a traditional industry engagement event where the audience will be comprised primarily of industry attendees. This is a learning event for the DHS acquisition workforce. This event is being planned by a team comprised of staff from the DHS Industry Liaison program and industry association representatives. The audience for this Reverse Industry Day will be made up of government attendees, industry panelists, and a limited number of representatives from industry to be determined by industry planning association participants. Registration will not be available for industry attendees. If you would like to be considered for inclusion in future events please reach out to your respective industry associations. A summary of the event including slides will be posted. The Department appreciates your interest in our mission and will continue to solicit industry input in different venues. We look forward to seeing you at future industry engagements. The special notice is also attached.
