- Description
- The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit on a 100% small business set-aside basis for Mortuary Support Services for the Navy Casualty Division of the Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN. The contractor is to provide all supplies and services for the care and disposition of human remains of active duty Navy and Marine military personnel within Contiguous United States (CONUS). Also, on rare occasions death will occur outside of CONUS. The deceased Sailor ™s and Marine ™s remains are transported to a servicing mortuary for embalming, dressing, cosmetic work, and shipment to another mortuary/cemetery for final burial. Shipment is worldwide. Each deceased individual is considered a case. The period of performance for this contract will consist of a base period of 12-months with four 12-month options totaling 60 months if all options are exercised. There are estimated to be 80 cases in the base period and an additional 580 cases if all options are exercised. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Price, Requirements type contract. Interested vendors will be asked to submit cost and technical proposals and will be evaluated on a best value basis with technical more important than price. Solicitation N0018917QZ190, with its respective amendments, will be available to download at later date at the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website (www.neco.navy.mil). The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 812210 and the Small Business Size Standard is $7.5 million. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
