NAICS Code: 519130 Solicitation Number: VA-263-17-Q-0609 Notice Type: Sources Sought This is a Sources Sought only; it is not a request for quotations or offers. 52.215-3 -- Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes (Oct 1997) (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited except as an allowable cost under other contracts as provided in subsection 31.205-18, Bid and proposal costs, of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. (b) Although proposal and offeror are used in this Request for Information, your response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) This solicitation is issued for the purpose of: conducting market research to identify potential sources for a potential procurement of a BoardVitals Medical Training Database Subscription brand name or equal as indicated below at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System located at One Veterans Drive Minneapolis, MN 55417. To assist interested parties, a brief/general description (not all inclusive) is provided below: The Minneapolis VA Medical Center is seeking a subscription to an online database with specific test banks of questions to assist providers in study and preparation for board exams and maintenance of certification. Coverage of medical and nursing specialties must include those that are represented at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. (MOC=Maintenance of Certification.) These are: Addiction Medicine Gerontology Anesthesiology Cardiology + MOC Critical Care Nursing Dental (NBDE) Dental Hygiene (NBDHE) Dermatology + MOC Echocardiology Emergency Medicine + MOC ENT Gastroenterology + MOC Hematology and Oncology Internal Medicine + MOC NCLEX-PN NCLEX-RN Nephrology + MOC Neurology + MOC Obstetrics + MOC Orthopedic Surgery Otolaryngology +MOC Pain medicine Pathology + MOC Pharmacy (NAPLEX) Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation + MOC Physician Assistants (PANCE) Preventive Medicine + MOC Psychiatry + MOC Radiology + MOC Sleep Medicine + MOC Surgery + MOC Urology USMLE Step 1 USMLE Step 2 USMLE Step 3 Providers must be able to easily identify the test banks for their areas of practice, choose a topic to cover, and go through practice exam questions similar to those seen on actual board exams. The database must provide correct answers with explanations from the literature to incorrect responses to test questions. The product must offer remote access for numerous VA staff, updates, and maintenance without extra charge. This is a request for information and sources only, which may or may not lead to a future solicitation. This is not a request for quote (RFQ). The VA will not pay for any information received resulting from this sources sought notice. Information should be forwarded to the Contract Specialist. Any questions should be addressed to the Contract Specialist, in writing, at the email address provided. Because this is a request for information only, answers to questions will not be posted.
