SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns or Small Business concerns, or solicit Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236118 Residential Remodelers, with a small business size standard of $36.5 Million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000 (inclusive of options). Performance and/or Payment bonds will be required. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, and capability to perform the following work: The project scope includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal required for the repairs to Coast Guard housing located at Station Eatons Neck in Northport New York on Long Island. Base Item Work: Replace all windows with new hurricane impact resistant windows, replace all doors with new hurricane impact resistant doors, replace all garage doors with hurricane impact resistant doors, replace all boilers and water tanks with new propane fired units, remove existing oil storage tanks and install new propane storage tanks, remove the existing siding and install new cementitious siding, and install new rigid insulation to the building exterior. Remove the existing chimneys, patch/repair the existing concrete foundations, provide new door bells and exterior lights, patch existing garage ceiling and walls, provide bathroom exhaust fans on first floor, new concrete stair at unit #1, replace tub-shower in select units. Option Item work for this project is as follows: Option #1 - Strip the existing roof shingles and install new asphalt roof shingles, remove and install new gutters and downspouts and re-install the lighting protection system. Option #2 - Remove old and install new insulation and attic insulator tent in attic, remove old and install new insulation in crawl space, remove old and install new heater, ductwork and louvers in crawl space, and insulate the water supply piping. Option #3 - Demolish and remove to Octagonal Galley Storage Building. Option #4 - Install GFE doors and re-use existing hardware, install new exhaust fans on the second level, rip and replace damaged un-refinishable floor, and install A/C in attic for second floor space. Period of Performance: Award is anticipated to be made in late June early July 2017. The period of performance for the base bid work is 240 days on site and the overall period of performance inclusive of all optional bid items is estimated to be 14 months. Your response is required no later than 8 May 2017. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
