- N00164-17-S-NB59 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION - Overhaul of Direct Current, Permanent Magnet, Shunt Field Motors with Brake - PSC 6105 - NAICS 335312 Issue Date 01-MAY-2017 -Closing Date 15-MAY-2017 at 2:00pm EST MARKET RESEARCH - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): This is NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS and no contract will be awarded from this RFI. MARKET SURVEY: The Government is seeking potential sources to fulfill a requirement for the Overhaul of Direct Current (DC), Permanent Magnet, Shunt Field Motors with Brake. Companies with the capability and facility to provide the type of overhaul specified in the attached Draft Statement of Work, as well as the experience/expertise indicated in all supporting technical and requirements documents are invited to submit information pertaining to their capability to fulfill this requirement. To be considered capable, interested parties must demonstrate their ability to satisfy the requirements of the attached weapon specification and demonstrate their experience/expertise in overhauling unique DC motors with integrated brakes. Respondents are further advised that the Government's technical data package is limited to what is attached to this RFI, and they would be responsible for sourcing all the parts and materials necessary for completing the potential requirement. The Government is also interested in the market's capability of providing a Form, Fit, and Function replacement motor. If such capability exists, respondents are encouraged to provide substantiating information. Responses to this Market Survey must address availability, budgetary cost estimate, and lead time of the solution. All interested parties are encouraged to submit company and product literature, a white paper no longer than 5 pages, and/or other pertinent information (such as, a description with performance parameters and a statement of current availability, summary of prior testing, test reports, and /or identify other Government contracts with similar efforts) for the Government's consideration. The controlled attachments will be posted to FedBizOps at the same time the RFI is posted. This RFI is for market research purposes only and does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid. This notice shall not be construed as a contract, a promise to contract, or as a commitment of any kind by the Government. The Government is NOT seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This RFI is issued solely for informational, planning, and market research purposes in accordance with FAR Part 10.
