- Synopsis of Proposed Contract Action Omega Warbirds DBA Gauntlet Aerospace The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order, Omega Warbirds DBA Gauntlet Aerospace, Inc., 719 W. Evergreen Ave, Chicago, IL, 60610, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12-Acquisition of Commercial Items. Gauntlet Aerospace, Inc. is the only known business that meets the requirements of a TT-1 Super Pinto Aircraft along with a certified Instructor Pilot. North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 611512. The following will be procured as follows: TT-1 Super Pinto that provides the unique experience of flying a unique twin engine jet spin trainer aircraft with a Period of Performance, 15 May 2017 to 31 December 2017 This notice neither constitutes a RFP or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does it restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit their interest and capability to the contract specialist below not later than, 3 May 2017, 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. Based upon the responses to this notice, the Government will determine if this proposed acquisition should be opened to competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
