Description
GOOSE CREEK ARCHEOLOGICAL INVENTORY SAWTOOTH NATIONAL FOREST PROJECT 2 IN APPROXIMATELY 1 DAY, THE SOLICITATION FOR THIS COMMERCIAL SERVICE PROJECT WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW AND PRINT. SCOPE OF WORK The Sawtooth National Forest, Minidoka RD requires archaeological inventories for the Goose Creek Habitat Restoration Project in the Cassia Division. The Cassia Division is located in Southern Idaho in Cassia County. Access will be across existing roads, of which the access routes are on public lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service. In order to comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA), as amended, the Sawtooth National Forest is initiating archaeological investigations that consist of Class III and Class II pedestrian surveys and recording known sites that are not recorded to standard. Class III survey units are located in areas that are known to contain cultural resources or have a high probability of containing archaeological resources. Class II survey units are located in areas that have a lower probability of containing archaeological resources. There are 64 sites that have been identified previously but will need to be recorded to the standards outlined in this contract. These sites are primarily lithic scatters. There is limited information on these sites except location and site type. There are also 50 previously recorded sites that need to be revisited and a condition assessment completed. If after CONTACT STEVE CLEZIE AT (208) 737-3256 FOR MORE INFORMATION. CONTRACT TIME WILL BE 241 calendar days with an estimated start date of 06/26/2017. NAICS Code: 115310 Size Standard: $7.5.
