Description
Pre-solicitation Notice Solicitation No.: FA5270-17-B-0001 Project Number & Title: NYJS 17-4502/4503, Repair MFH Towers 871/872, Camp Kinser, Okinawa Japan Synopsis: All performance under this project shall meet or exceed US Government and Japanese Construction Standards. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment and any other necessary items to complete this project identified in the Specifications and Drawings for Project No. NYJS 17-4502 and NYJS 17-4503, Repair MFH Towers 871/872, Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan. Perform all work indicated in the Specifications and Drawings which will be included in the solicitation package. The scope of work for this project includes but not limited to: 1.0 General Description of work: The contractor is to provide all management, tools, design, supplies, equipment, transportation, labor and services necessary to repair the common areas and 136 Housing Tower units at Camp Kinser, Towers 871/872 (68 units each). The work includes but is not limited to: install radon mitigation system, remodel common areas (to include hallways and stairwells), replacement of flooring, light fixtures, paint, ceilings, cabinets, bathrooms, doors, windows, existing fire sprinkler systems. Unit work (136 units) includes replacement of ceilings, flooring, windows, doors, paint, light fixtures, countertops, base cabinets, wall cabinets, sink and sink drain system, wall tiles, bathtub, tile, toilet, exhaust fan, piping and any other associated work. Mini-split and electric water heater work includes comprehensive electrical survey, necessary electrical upgrades to meet the current code and to ensure that all electrical systems are capable of supporting the installation of mini-split and electric water heater systems, cooling/dehumidifier system for common areas and hallways. In addition, remediation testing/abatement of mold, asbestos and lead and all other related work to provide complete and usable facilities. The magnitude of this project is expected between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00 in accordance with DFAR 236.204(ii). Selection will be based upon evaluation factors which will be stipulated on the solicitation package. Interested Offerors are encouraged to frequently check this posting for updates. No bidder's mailing list will be maintained. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid preparation costs.
