This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this sources sought must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), HubZone and other Small Businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. Documentation of technical expertise must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) located at 3601 S. 6th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85723 is seeking a qualified contractor to perform maintenance & service of specific medical and industrial vacuum and medical air and industrial air compressors units located at the Tucson campus. This contract will be for a Base Year and Four (4) Option Years. The purpose of this contract is to secure materials and the qualified technical labor that is required for the successful maintenance and service of existing medical and industrial vacuum and medical air and industrial air compressors systems at the SAVAHCS campus. Contractor shall maintain in good operating condition. The equipment is located at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) 3601 S. 6th Ave Tucson, AZ 85723, see Attachment A. Provide all labor and equipment to maintain and repair all the medical and industrial vacuum and medical air and industrial air compressors associated with the facilities throughout the SAVAHCS campus including providing and replacement parts and components that might fail with the exception of equipment that becomes obsolete due to incompatibility with the latest equipment (Contractor shall provide all filters, belts, and oil required for normal service according to manufactures specifications). This agreement includes 24 hour seven day a week emergency call back service, with a 2 hour response time. Provide maintenance, repair, and calibration of the existing compressors, including providing documentation of the results to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and Maintenance & Operations staff. Without a well maintained and operational medical vacuum and medical air system the hospital would not be able to accomplish its mission of providing excellent health care to our veterans. This medical air and vacuum system is critical in that it is the primary system of all patient care areas. This equipment is a critical component to the hospital providing excellent patient care.
