- This solicitation is being advertised as a noncompetitive sole source solicitation. As provided under FAR 6.302-1, this project will be solicited on a noncompetitive basis as "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Project Description: The 21st Security Forces Squadron (SFS) has a requirement for the following Non-Lethal Weapons and accessories: 100 each - AARD-10101USAF SFS TASER X26P Equipment - RH Holster Only w/ MOLLE 45 each - AARD-10099 USAF SFS TASER X26P Kit - Black X26P w/ XPPM, And Right 40 each - AARD-10102 USAF SFS TASER X26P Equipment - LH Holster Only w/ MOLLE 1 each - X2/X26P Dataport Download Kit, NON RETURNABLE 1 each - X26P Extended Performance Power Magazine (XPPM), NON RETURNABLE 1 each - X2/X26P Performance Power Magazine (PPM), NON RETURNABLE The 21st Contracting Squadron intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Aardvark. Aardvark is the only known company that is able to meet the required specifications of the Government due to its designation, by TASER International, as the sole authorized distributor of TASER products for Federal Agencies. Currently no other distributor can bid on or sell TASER products to the Air Force. TASER International's product, the X26P, is the only current, CEW (Conducted Electric Weapon) approved for use by Air Force personnel per United States Air Force Ground Combat Generation Director Memo, "Approved Taser Devices, Batteries, Cartridges, and Holsters" dated 14 December 2016. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price Purchase Order be awarded no later than May 05, 2017. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335999 and the size standard is 500 employees.
