- Ice Harbor Outdoor Rated Spray Paint Booth Site Visit Questions & Answers 27 April 2017 1. Who provides the foundation? The foundation is integral to the booth design for some companies. • The customer will provide the foundation based on the contractor's engineered drawings. 2. Where can a work trailer be parked inside the security gates? • An area near the South Shore Fishladder will be provided for the contractor's work trailer. 3. Will the customer provide a power disconnect to the contractor to land to and if so, how far away will it be? The distance between the booth and the power supply needs to be clarified. • Yes. A disconnect will be provided within 10 feet of the location where the wires leave the paint booth. 4. Will we require personnel air? • No. The customer will provide respirator protection system. 5. What is the customer's worst-case scenario paint product used with regards to cure time and humidity requirements? This information will determine how to size the curing system. • 7 days at 70 degrees F for a full cure, maximum temperature while curing cannot exceed 125 degrees F, both at a maximum of 50% relative humidity. 6. Does the customer want to recirculate the air during the cure cycle? This increases upfront costs but reduces time and energy costs for curing during cold weather. • Yes, per the specifications. 7. Does the customer want an insulated booth? This increases upfront costs but reduces energy costs during booth operation. • No. 8. How is the booth oriented, i.e. which way does the customer want the product door facing? • The location of the main product door shall be on the 20-foot side of the building. Building orientation shall be provided to the contractor upon notice of product delivery date. 9. Can the bid schedule be expanded in order to facilitate progress payments during design, manufacturing and installation? This is especially important for small businesses. • This is not a progress payment type contract
