Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Kennedy Center) posts a construction requirement for Rock Creek Parkway Overhang Repair, Phase II. Approximately 55% of the overhang was repaired in FY 2016, the remaining approximately 45% is to be repaired under this requirement. In addition, an option for repair on the concrete wall adjacent to the Rock Creek Parkway will be exercised dependent upon proposed price and the availability of funds. Award of a firm fixed price (FFP) contract will be made to the lowest price, technically acceptable responsible contractor. The solicitation includes seventeen (17) attachments. T he Government will hold a site visit and preproposal conference at the Kennedy Center beginning at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. The location to meet for the site visit will be the Hall of States (North) entrance. The preproposal conference will take place immediately after the site visit. Licensed construction contractors who are currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) may register up to two (2) people to attend by contacting Mr. Hodford Brown. Questions may be submitted, in writing, during the preproposal conference and for a period of five (5) days thereafter. The cutoff time and date for submission of questions will be 4:00 PM on Monday, May 22, 2017. Questions, if any, must be submitted in writing to Mr. Brown. O ffers must be delivered to and receipt recorded in the Kennedy Center Contracting Office no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017. Late offers will not be considered and will be returned without being opened. T he effective date of award is projected to be Friday, June 16, 2017.
