- The Library of Congress intends to award a contract to the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence, sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and administered by the MITRE Corporation to assess the requirements and constraints in implementing multi-factor authentication for Legislative Branch agencies. The assessment includes an initial assessment of Legislative Branch agency environments to identify requirements for implementation of a Identity and Access Management solution; research and analysis regarding industry best practices and standards for authentication solutions that address each agency's needs and constraints; and recommendations for a common solution for all Legislative Branch agencies.
