- This is the specifications for the radome. It has drawings that will show clearences for the antenna. This SOW is for the procurement and delivery of one (1) 18 foot radome for a satellite tracking antenna system. Mechanical: • A radome shall be at least 18 feet in diameter and able to house a centered 3 meter reflector/antenna. All items needed for assembly (e.g. hardware, adhesive, etc.) shall be included in this procurement. • The radome shall be capable of housing the antenna system shown on pages 2-3 of this document. Government will coordinate antenna mast height to match radome's center. • The radome shall have a 24 to 36 inch riser. • The radome shall have an access hatch near the its base suitable for personnel entry. • The radome shall be capable of mounting to a level surface (e.g., concrete pad). Radio Frequency (RF): • The radome shall have an insertion loss less than.5 dB for frequency range 2-2.4 Ghz. Environmental: • The radome shall be capable of handling a wind load of 100 Mph. • The radome shall be capable of withstanding temperatures between -40 degrees Celsius and 60 degrees Celsius. The Government request that the quote will include acceptance and delivery at Alaska. Please see address below. In addition, the Government asks that the quote include accepting delivery of radome at vendor's site with a Government representative onsite to inspect materials prior to or during creating/packing at a time agreed upon by both vendor and contractor. For this option, the radome shall be delivered in crates with each dimension (i.e. length, width, height) not to exceed 100 inches. The vendor shall provide the approximate weights and dimensions of shipping crate(s) in the quote/proposal. Following final inspection and acceptance of government, final weights and dimensions shall be provided to Government by the vendor. his SOW is for the procurement and delivery of one (1) 18 foot radome for a satellite tracking antenna system.
