Small Business Set-Aside
Woman Owned Small Business

Description
1. Topic. TARDEC, located in Warren, Michigan, is seeking to identify Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) sources capable of providing in-house engineering and manufacturing services in support of existing and future prototype design acquisition of ground vehicle systems and support equipment. NAICS Code requested is 541712. 2. Market Survey Request. TARDEC is conducting a market survey to determine the nature and availability of industry expertise to provide a wide range of diverse functions, including: hardware, fixture, prototype design and manufacturing; configuration and data management; reverse engineering; development of technical data packages in 2D and 3D formats; modeling & simulation; technical illustration, writing, and editing; quality assurance and engineering; and approved material purchasing. TARDEC wishes to identify WOSBs within a 10-mile radius of the Detroit Arsenal, located at 6501 E. 11 Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48397. This is required due to the fast paced, dynamic nature of prototyping and the tight schedules associated with maintaining fielded system readiness, the Army's number 1 priority. TARDEC often must develop solutions to field issues with incredibly short turn-around time. To be an effective partner, the WOSB must be closely located to TARDEC to enable short-fuse meetings, design review, prototyping, and delivery of prototypes. The ability to meet this requirement is vital to fulfilling TARDEC's needs. If interested, furnish your detailed responses to this market survey questionnaire. Provide any supplemental information or commercial literature describing the engineering, manufacturing or other information not specifically requested that support your response. The Government does NOT wish to obtain any proprietary or otherwise protected documents resulting from this market survey. The Government may return such data or documents submitted that have proprietary or protected markings. The intent of this market research process is to obtain only commercially available information about contractor's products and services. All portions of these enclosures are merely for market research purposes, subject to change at any time, and are in no way binding on the Government and do not represent an established requirement. The information contained in this survey is not a basis to seek payment, reimbursement or other consideration from the Government. Moreover, the intention of this survey is not to solicit any proposals from Industry. 3. Responses. Only responses to this market research survey questionnaire, comments to the purchase description, as well as industry questions should be sent via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Doreen Kobler, at Doreen.m.kobler.civ@mail.mil. Response Format. Electronic responses are required. The maximum size of each e-mail message should be no more than five (5) megabytes. If you must send more than one e-mail, they shall be labeled as "E-mail X of Y." The subject line must include the "[Firm's Name] response to TARDEC TWV". All interested firms are encouraged to respond to this request for information. Total page count of all submitted data should be no more than 20 pages. Responses Due. Replies to this questionnaire must be received by 9:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on 16 May 2017. 4. Market Survey Questionnaire.
