- Q&A's/Pre-Bid Meeting Notes SF 30 Amendment SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 0001 - This amendment is to provide the Questions and Answers submitted at the pre-work meeting, a list of attendees, and a solicitation ADDENDUM to the contract specifications. The Lake States Acquisition Team is announcing an opportunity to bid on renovation of the South Warehouse Building at the Raco Work Center on the Hiawatha National Forest in Brimley, Michigan. This acquisition is advertised as a total small business set-aside using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Per FAR SubPart 5.202(a)(13) a pre-solicitation is not required. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204(b), the estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238990. The Small Business Administration size standard is $15 million. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database and completed their online representations and certifications. Bacon-Davis wage rates will apply to this contract. There is a requirement for payment protections (payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit) for offers over $35,000. This payment protection will be for 100% of the offer amount. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this solicitation, amendments, or any follow up information requests. No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any, will be provided. To receive the entire solicitation package and any applicable amendments, prospective offerors must download them from the FedBizOpps website. Project dates are negotiable but project must be started prior to 9/30/2017. The contract is estimated to require approximately 65 days for completion plus an additional 5 days for each optional item. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, renovation of an existing warehouse that is utilized for fire engine and equipment storage, wildfire staging, and a small fitness room. Past uses of the building included a small residence/bunkhouse area. This project will improve storage space, fire rating, ABA compliance, and reduce deferred maintenance and improve energy efficiency. This warehouse is a wood framed structure approximately 2,275 sf building (main level) with an attic utilized for light weight storage and was constructed in 1934. Project includes selective demolition, new construction with ABA compliant restroom, reconstruction, replacement, relocating and reinstalling utilities, updates, and other items detailed in the attached specifications and drawings. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Raco Work Center, 9200 South Ranger Road, Brimley Michigan on April 27th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. All invoices must be submitted via the electronic Invoice Processing Platform (IPP). This is a mandatory requirement initiated by the U.S. Department of Treasury.
