- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Advance Safety Equipment Co. (CAGE: 1TAJ4) of Virginia Beach, VA for the procurement of a quantity of three (3) Fall Arrest System Cube Adjustable Telescoping Anchors, P/N 706ASE35 that will be used in the stand-up of the maintenance hangar in Iwakuni, Japan. The Telescoping Anchors are required to support deployed F/A-18 aircraft to CVW-5. The part number required is specific to Advance Safety Equipment Co. and has been customized to ensure it meets the Navy's Fall Arrest requirements. The design and manufacture of this system is proprietary to Advance Safety Equipment Co. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for an award of a contract.
