Description
This is a Sources Sought/Market Research synopsis. The Alexandria VA Medical Center Contracting office is performing market research to ascertain whether there are potential sources and their business size classification (HUB-Zone, 8(a), Small Business, Small Disadvantage Business, Women Owned Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, or Veteran Owned Business) relative to NAICS Code 334510 Electro medical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing. The Medical Center is particularly interested in identifying Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)/Veteran Owned-Small Business (VOSB) and their capability. The Medical Center is seeking potential sources to provide five (5) Pulsed Xenon Ultra Violet Room Disinfection systems/devices XENEX Model #: PXUV4D-XCT (OR EQUIVALENT) for the Fayetteville VAMC, Fayetteville, AR. The Fayetteville Medical Center currently uses the Model # 426t and are seeking to trade-in the items and upgrade to the Model #PXUV4D-XCT Pulsed Xenon Full Spectrum UV Germ-Zapping Robot with one & two year renewable warranty extensions. The brand name equipment uses environmentally-friendly technology that provides hospitals environment disinfection by deactivating bacteria and viruses. The equipment must utilize a high-density, full spectrum pulsed ultraviolet (PX-UV) light which covers the entire germicidal range of 200-300mm. In addition, the preferred piece of equipment must meet the following salient characteristics: Complete germicidal range for microorganisms of 200-300nm Utilization of non-toxic xenon gas within bulbs and does not require a warm-up time or cool-down time in between uses. Portable equipment disinfection system must use pulsed Xenon Ultraviolet to create a light covering the entire germicidal spectrum, mercury systems create narrow spectrum light of 253.7nm. Equipment can be utilized up to 30 times per day without breaks in between uses. Device must operate with a 5-minute C. diff position run time for in-patient rooms and require no warm-up or cool down times. Device must have Multiple Peer Reviewed Published Outcome Studies which demonstrate a greater than 50% decrease in healthcare associated MRSE infection rates and HA-C diff infection rates, as well as a 40+% reduction in SSI rates to support the efficiency of their product. The UV system incorporates certain features for high usability and safety including: ow transport height for improved user visibility in high-traffic areas Pulsed xenon system, which does not produce unpleasant odors 4-pound push weight Durable, shock-absorbing wheels for ease of movement over thresholds and elevator gaps Self-storing bulb system that eliminates the need for a separate device cover An enclosed bulb to eliminate risk of contact surface burn Real-time use statistics and analytics in a cloud-based portal Wireless and data connections are available through Wi-Fi and commercial cellular Can disinfected as many as 60 rooms in a 24-hour period Potential sources must be able to provide trade-in of existing model and warranty extensions with certified technician. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. This is not a solicitation for proposals or quotes. A solicitation may be issued at a later date and time.
