Description
Amendment 0002 - There will be a pre-bid site visit conducted on May 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. MT. Please meet at the Golden Spike Visitor Center. Questions from the pre-bid site visit must to be submitted in writing by May 18, 2017 and those questions will be consolidated and a written response will be sent out by May 24, 2017. The attached Bid Sheet and Past Performance Questionnaire need to be completed and returned with your proposal. Amendment 0001 is to correct the SF-1449 to reflect that this acquisition is set aside 100% for Women-Owned Small Business, all other terms and conditions remain unchanged. The National Park Service, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to replace failing, obsolete security system in four park buildings: the Visitor Center/Administration (7,156 square feet), Maintenance Shop (4,000 square feet), Engine House (5,000 square feet) and Park Residence (1,362 square feet) all located at Golden Spike National Historic Site, Brigham City, UT. The system is outdated and uses technology which is over 15 years old and no longer supported by most monitoring companies. The work consists of the designing and replacing the intrusion alarm systems, but not limited to, the following: Submit intrusion alarm design (shop drawings) for review and approval. Remove existing intrusion alarm and components for each building. Note: The Engine House has two old alarms system to be removed. The current ADT equipment and old Ademco equipment with boxes and old transformers. Install and test new intrusion alarm system in four park buildings as described above. A detailed Statement of Work and specification will be provided with final solicitation documents. Solicitation Number: P17PS01086. Project Magnitude: Between $100,000 and $250,000. Type of Contract: This will be a firm fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor. Evaluation Factors: Past Performance, Experience and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561621, and the size standard is $20.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Woman-Owned Small Businesses. A site visit date, time and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the schedule site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may effect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. The official solicitation (RFP) and it attachments will be issued and available on or around May 3, 2017 and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.
