- This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. IAW FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought/RFI only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 334510 and the small business size standard is 1250 employees. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research on behalf of the Eugene J. Towbin Healthcare Center, located in North Little Rock, AR through this sources sought to help determine the availability of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) to provide an ultrasound unit with high-resolution limited depth function, as well as a deeper (up to 16cm) scan capability. The unit must be easily cleaned between uses and must include both vascular and cardiac probes. This requirement shall be a brand name or equal requirement using X-Porte Ultrasound Kiosk System, Part #L15600, and its components, as the benchmark for quality standards expected from equal products. The following outlines the characteristics and features that the medical center requires: 1: 1EA X-Porte Ultrasound Kiosk System with Stand (Part # L15600) with a five (5) year standard coverage warranty and five (5) year software maintenance. Provides the following modes or equivalent: Touch pad control panel for ease of cleaning High-resolution limited depth function High-resolution deep scan capability (up to 16cm) Capable of operating in B Mode Capable of operating in M-Mode (simultaneous M-Mode for cardiac & lung exams) Velocity Color Doppler, Color Power Doppler Pulsed wave and Continuous wave modes 19 or larger HD monitor Mobile stand with castors 13-6 MHz transducer with a scan depth of 6cm 5-1 MHz transducer with a scan depth of 35cm Black & white digital and analog printer Height-adjustment 2: 1EA HFL38XP / 13-6 MHZ Transducer, ROHS 3: 1EA P21XP / 5-1 MHZ Transducer 4: 1EA UPX898 Sony B and W Digital and Analog Printer 5: 1EA P14654 User Guide, X-Porte, English (Paper) 6: 1EA P16620 Service Manual, X-Porte 7: 1EA P14654 User Guide, X-Porte, English (Paper) 8: 1EA P16620 Service Manual, X-Porte 9: 1EA 5-YR-WARRANTY 60 MONTHS - STANDARD COVERAGE WARRANTY 10: 1EA 5-YR-SW-MAINT X-PORTE SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE The warranty and support must cover all components of the requirement in accordance with standard manufacturer s warranty. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? (5) If an authorized distributor, a memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. If an authorized distributor, a statement explaining the added value provided with this purchase. (6) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC or are you a contract holder with NASA SEWP or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract type and number. (7) If you are an FSS GSA/NAC or NASA SEWP contract holder or other federal contract holder, are the referenced items/solutions available on your schedule/contract? Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to arlene.blade@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than Friday, May 5, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. CST. A solicitation will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
