- Item Description: Acquisition is for NSN 2030-01-447-3427, Sliding Padeye Assembly. NAICS 333923 - Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist & Monorail Machinery Manufacturing. Business Size: 1,250. DLA Land & Maritime is preparing to solicit a one-time buy for NSN 2030-01-447-3427. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data, therefore the Government intends to solicit and contract with only the approved source(s) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The approved source(s) is The Entwistle Company (20722) - P/N: EJ-51116 REV B. Parties interested in becoming an approved source for this NSN must submit the appropriate information as outlined in Procurement Note L04 Offers for Part Numbered Items and M06 Evaluation of Offers for Part Numbered Items. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This solicitation is being issued as an unrestricted Request For Proposal. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The solicitation will be available at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil. on its issue date of May 19, 2017. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available.
