- J&A NOsp 15,967 Under the authorities of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(4), Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) awarded a follow-on technical engineering services and hardware contract for the Common Missile Compartment. From FY17 through FY22, this procurement will provide systems engineering services to support integration of existing Trident II (D5) Submarine Launched Ballistic Missiles including Nuclear Reentry Bodies into new US and UK submarine classes. The engineering services procured will support completion of the submarine designs for both classes, and early stage construction and test support for the UK Successor class. SSP also procured engineering services to support the design and production of submarine launched ballistic missile servicing support equipment, as well as the development and production of specialized submarine launched ballistic missile simulator test equipment. This effort is inextricably linked to work already being performed by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company under Contracts N00030-12-C-0058, N00030-12-C-0100, N00030-14-C-0013, and N00030-15-C-0005, which SSP awarded using other than full and open competition. A Sources Sought Notice was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website on 31 May 2016. SSP did not receive any inquiries of interest. The Presolicitation Notice for this effort was posted on 1 September 2016 under Solicitation #N00030-17-Q-0017. Again, SSP did not receive any inquiries of interest.
