- This is "not" a request for either a quote or proposal. This announcement is considered market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. NO SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED AT THIS TIME. THE DLA LAND AND MARITIME IS ISSUING THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS AS A MEANS OF CONDUCTING MARKET RESEARCH TO IDENTIFY PARTIES HAVING AN INTEREST IN AND THE RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: ITEM: Printed Circuit Board NSN 5998-01-512-3463 is to be procured in-accordance-with approved source CAGE 89954, part number 112E9112G5. BAE Systems Controls Inc. (89954) is the only current approved source. NOTE: This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. No Data is available. The Alternate Offeror is required to provide a complete data package including data for the approved and alternate part for evaluation. Once the solicitation is issued, interested sources must submit the appropriate information outlined in DLAD 52.217-9002, Conditions for Evaluation and Acceptance of Offers for Part Numbered Items. This is a Navy Identified " Critical Safety Item ". This is a " Critical Application Item ". A quantity of 10 each up to 30 each may be required and will be shipped to a DLA stocking location. The purpose of this synopsis is to locate sources interested in becoming approved sources and for any additional approved sources. Submission Instructions: Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) must be sent to Kenneth Planty via email at kenneth.planty@dla.mil by the response date listed in this synopsis and should include in their submission, information on their products/services, company, CAGE code, capability, company size/profile, and any other supportive information. Respondents will be placed on the solicitation mailing list. This RFI is for market research purposes only. Any information submitted is at the company's own expense. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of capability statements in connection with the market survey. Any information provided is voluntary.
