- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.106, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) - RFQ reference number VA242-17-Q-0555. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, and the VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY have a requirement to purchase the following: Control Air Compressor: (Mfg: Kaeser Compressors, Inc) FOB DESTINATION Required Item Mfg # SFC11 - 15HP variable speed drive Control Air Compressor (2 each) Install not required All required characteristics must be met: Single stage, fluid-injected, rotary screw, air cooled Electrical Power: 460 V/3-phase/60 Hz Operational Range: Requires operation as low as 22.0 CFM with a maximum capacity of 76.0 CFM Discharge pressure: 110 psig Drive Motor Horsepower: 15 hp, 91% minimum rated efficiency Noise level: Not to exceed 68 dB Automatic tensioning for belt drive Safety: Include safety pressure relief valves, emergency stop button, fluid level sight glass, safety door interlock switch Compressor shall be mounted on solid base frame with anti-vibration mounts and a solid steel floor PLC based control system, monitor emergency stop, motor overloads, direction of rotation, discharge temperature, cabinet temp, service hours and back pressure Variable speed drive to include soft-start, able to adjust air output to maintain system pressure within a 2 psig tolerance Warranty: Twelve months parts and labor for compressor package, motor, VFD and controls Tank: Not required This procurement is being issued as 100% set-aside for VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. It is the Government s intent to issue a firm fixed price, single award as a result of this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333913 Air and Gas Compressor, with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-95. Interested vendors are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. www.SAM.gov This procurement is for new items only; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
