This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential qualifications of Small Businesses and all Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 339113 (Surgical Appliance & Supplies Manufacturing). The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking small business manufacturer or distributors of small business manufacturers, of functionally equivalent equipment to all the following: Human Thrombin, NAcL, 10ml, Kit (Quantity Needed 15 Cases) The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, engineering design, and supervision to design, manufacture, and deliver this equipment. Design and delivery shall be coordinated with the Service Point of Contact Personnel, to be revealed after contract award has been determined. PHYSICAL SPECIFICATIONS: --Sealant, surgical, floseal, human thrombin/sodium chloride, 10 ml, kit, needle free adapter, hemostatic matrix, sterile, applicator tips and bowl-- **Floseal Hemostatic Matrix/Agent is an adjunctive hemostatic agent that stops to control bleeding in 2 minutes (median time). Floseal is indicated in surgical procedures as an adjunct to hemostasis when control of bleeding by ligature or conventional procedure is ineffective or impractical. FLOSEAL Hemostatic Matrix consists of patented bovine-derived gelatin granules coated in human-derived thrombin that work in combination to form a stable clot at the bleeding site. All-in-one package with human thrombin and no refrigeration required. FLOSEAL granules expand approximately 20% within about 10 minutes, giving predictable control during and after surgery THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A SOLICITATION. Please be advised that the Government will not pay for any information submitted under this announcement. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339113 (Surgical Appliances & Supplies Manufacturing). This size standard for NAICS code 339113 is 750 employees.
