- Questions and Answers The due date for this RFI is May 10th. Question: In section RESPONSE, there is a statement "...if their solution set could provide secure, protected, or encrypted communications by stating type of security scheme or encryption type used". Is this for secure/encrypted voice, data, or both (voice & data)? Answer: Our objective would be for secure/encrypted capability for both voice and data. Question: Is this is a new requirement or is there an incumbent contract/contractor currently performing the same or similar work? If so, are you able to provide a contract number and the vendor's name? Answer: The RFI is requesting possible solution sets for the items listed. The KC-135 prime avionics integrator is Rockwell Collins.
