Description
SYNOPSIS FOR CONSOLIDATION CONTAINERIZATION POINT (CCP) SYSTEM FOR DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY (DLA) DISTRIBUTION SAN JOAQUIN, CA. FIRM FIXED-PRICE CONTRACT - CCP SYSTEM FOR DDJC The following summary of work is for the purpose of general information and is not intended to include and describe every feature or item or to define the scope of work. It is expected that the contractor will visit the site of work and thoroughly familiarize himself with the conditions existing there. Failure on the part of the contractor to acquaint himself with the site conditions will not be sufficient reason for any increase in contract price. DLA Distribution has a requirement to purchase a Consolidation Containerization Point (CCP) System for DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California (DDJC). The Contractor shall provide all the necessary services, labor, material, equipment, control components and engineering required to furnish and install a package conveyor system in Building 30, Section 1. Three existing ALOC (air shipment) pallet loading pits will be gutted and filled in, while an additional one will be installed on the southern wall of the warehouse section. The material handling system shall consist of floor and elevated package transport and accumulation conveyor, incline and decline belt conveyor, protective guardrail, stretch-wrappers, Pallet scales and forklift guards. The Contractor shall provide, install, test and make operable the conveyor system. The Contractor shall train government personnel to maintain the conveyor system. The Contractor shall disassemble and remove the existing conveyor, tilt-tray sorter, three ALOC Pits and conveyor catwalk systems. A Statement of Work (SOW) will be provided with all the specifications of the CCP System and will be included in the solicitation. Period of Performance (from the contract award date to final acceptance): Required 270 days from the date of contract award. Place of Performance: DLA Distribution San Joaquin, CA 25600 South Chrisman Road, Building 30 Tracy, CA 95304 This solicitation is Unrestricted; the NAICS Code for this procurement is 333922. The size standard for this NAICS Code is 500 employees. This acquisition will be solicited utilizing FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, supplemented by FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation, and evaluated in accordance with FAR 15.101-1, Tradeoff Process. The tentative timeframe for issuance of the Request for Proposal (RFP) SP3300-17-R-0009 is on or around May 19, 2017. The solicitation will establish the RFP due date and time. A pre-proposal/site visit will be conducted. Information and instructions will be provided with the solicitation. Access to the solicitation package including the specifications and drawings will only be made available to prospective offerors via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http: www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. Any questions concerning this requirement should be directed to the Contracting Officer Jada A. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the website for any amendments that may be issued under the solicitation. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the solicitation due date. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, a prospective awardee shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at http://www.sam.gov. All responsible offerors may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one contract as a result of this RFP. Award will be made to the offeror which provides the best value to the Government. An offeror must be determined responsible according to the standards of FAR Subpart 9 to be eligible for award.
