- Description
- The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) has a requirement for Armed Security Guard Services in support of FDA's mission. NCTR requires Armed Security Guard Services to protect the people and property of the Jefferson Laboratory Complex located in Jefferson, Arkansas. These services are to include, but not limited to: Maintaining entrance/exit control of personnel, vehicles, equipment, and property of the Center's perimeter, visitor housing and conference center, parking lot and area within the main NCTR complex; and conducting foot patrols through currently used buildings within the main NCTR complex, inspecting and reporting security violations, safety and/or hazardous situations and equipment or utility malfunctions. The area requiring security consists of more than 30 buildings located on 96 fence-enclosed acres. The facilities contain approximately one plus million square feet of floor space used as research laboratories/offices, warehouse storage, animal facilities; some is in various stages of renovation, or demolition. The need for these services is imperative as NCTR's mission can only be accomplished through proper security of its facilities and personnel. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561612 -- Security Guards and Patrol Services; Small Business Size Standard is $20.5 million dollars. This requirement is 100% Service Disabled – Veteran Owned Small Business concerns. All responsible Service Disabled – Veteran Owned Small Business sources may submit a proposal. The issue date for solicitation number 17-223-SOL-0021 is expected to be released on or around May 19, 2017 with a closing date of the solicitation thirty (30) calendar days after posting. The anticipated award date is on or around July 15, 2017. Any resultant contract is expected to be a Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) contract. It is anticipated that the contract will contain a base year period plus up to four (4) 1-year option periods and one (1) 3-month option period. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor FedBizOpps for further information relevant to this solicitation. No electronic proposals will be accepted.
