- The White River National Forest has a requirement for furnishing and delivering road base gravel to following locations of I-70 Exit 190: - Shrine Pass Trail Head (2.5 miles from Vail Pass on FSR 709) - - 460 tons of 1.5" roadbase gravel - Holy Cross Overlook Trail Head (3.75 miles from Vail Pass on FSR 709) - -- 280 tons of 1.5" roadbase gravel -- 110 tons of 3/4" roadbase gravel - Delivery time: June 21 - July 31 - exact dates to be coordinated. This is a Request for Quote using simplified acquisition procedures to issue a firm fixed-price purchase order for this project in early June with an expected magnitude between $25000 and $100000. Site Visit: There is no pre-bid site visit contemplated at this time due to the road not being open until June 12. Use Google Earth, CDOT or other GIS resources to get a better idea of the area. We expect you will be able to use either an end-dump or belly-dump truck for the delivery but with no expressed or implied guarantee of either. See the attached documents for the full solicitation and requirements to submit your bid. Notice to Offeror(s) / Suppliers(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event, the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs incurred.
