- Description
- This proposed procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside; NAICS 237310 "Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction" with a size standard of $36,500,000. Project Description: The Missile Defense Agency Headquarters building was built in 2009 on Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Currently, the building accommodates 369 personnel and currently has 232 parking spaces. Following the 60% parking allowance (221 spaces), plus 57 visitor spaces and 11 government vehicle spaces results in a total requirement of 289. This results in MDA having a parking shortfall of 57 spaces. The goal is to obtain the maximum parking space increase able to be funded through O&M New Work. The Harris Road option was selected and approved by the customer. The magnitude of construction of this Design-Bid-Build project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Construction duration is 270 days from Notice to Proceed. Additional information in accordance with the statement of work will be included in the invitation for bid (IFB) package. This solicitation will be available on or about 17 May 2017, bids due on or about 16 June 2017. A site visit will be conducted, date to be determined. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered sensitive, but unclassified documents, and require users to have a valid MPIN entered in the FBO system to access packages. Vendors must be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) database to receive a government contract award. Vendors must also be registered in Representations and Certifications Applications (included in SAM). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable (237310 listed above) to this acquisition must be in vendor's SAM registration.
