- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only for the purpose of Market Research. Response to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals or quotes are being requested or accepted with this notice. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS or QUOTES and NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This notice shall NOT be construed as solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of the Air Force. Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. Proposed work to be performed under the aforementioned contract is anticipated to be within the following North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes as follows: 315210 and the Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees. The government is looking for businesses to deliver brand name GXTREME Fire Department Personal Protective Structural Coat and Pants, Pull on Proximity Boots, Hood Carbon Shields, Fire Dome Helmets, and Large Blue Gloves. The product will be delivered to Eielson Air Force Base (AFB), Alaska. The vendor will need to deliver all personal protective equipment to Eielson AFB, Alaska. The contractor will have to be able to provide G-XTREME specific personal protective equipment. The items are 71 G-XTREME #31257G 7.5ox Gold Gemini XT G-Xtreme Jackets, 71 G-XTREME Pants #41257G 7.5oz Gold Gemini XT G-Xtreme Pants, 71 14" Pull on proximity Boots Berry, 71 XLong Cobra Ultimate 2-Ply Hood Carbon Shields, California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (CAL-OSHA), NFPA Labelled, 71 Black Traditional Fire Dome Helmet with 6" eagle, and IZ2 Goggle, CAL-OSHA, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Labelled and 71 Large Blue Glove Nomex Wristlet NFPA with Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) NFPA CAL-OSHA. The sources sought is for brand name specific requirements. G-XTREME is the only suitable personal protective equipment allowable for uniformity standards. The U.S.A.F. is requesting the following information from interested vendors: 1) Company name and contact information to include phone number and email. 2) Contractor capability statement. 3) DUNS number and CAGE code. 4) Contractor request for details/facts to be provided by the government as part of an eventual solicitation package to allow for accurate contractor quotes. 5) Business type (large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a)-certified small disadvantaged business, HUBZone small business, woman-owned small business, very small business, veteran-owned small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business) based upon North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 335991, size standard of 750 Employees. 6) What is a reasonable amount of time required for delivery to Eielson AFB, Alaska? 7) Is your company able to ship during austere weather conditions common in the interior of Alaska? 8) Provide any additional information that your firm feels the government should consider for this type of requirement.
