Description
THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT FOR REQUEST FOR QUOTE. This is a solicitation for a commercial item.This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The National Park Service intends to solicit quotes for Herbicide supply & application to 69 acres at Hopewell Culture This is the solicitation number P17PS01242and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The associated NAICS code is 561730. The small business size standard is $7.5 MIL. Provisions and clauses are, incorporated in this solicitation document. Anticipated Award Date: on or before 05/19/2017. To be considered for award your company must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNs). You may obtain this number free of charge at 1(866)705-5711. Your company must also be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with the appropriate NAICS code for this solicitation (located in block 10 on the form), web site: https://www.sam.gov. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF STATEMENT OF WORK Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide Herbicide application at Hopewell Culture National Historic Park 16062 State route 104. Hopewell Culture National Historical Park (park) is converting existing fallow fields to native grassland to: restore previously disturbed areas; control woody invasive species that may be detrimental to subsurface cultural resources; reduce stress from active farming; and provide habitat for native plants and wildlife. 69 acres at Hopeton Earthworks unit will be converted to native grassland starting in 2017. Due to the presence of archaeological resources, tilling or other ground disturbance is not permitted. Therefore, to prepare the ground for planting, the existing vegetation on between on 69 acres must be removed by means of herbicide application. As detailed within the statement of work (SOW) attached. Quotes are due at 12:00 PM ET, May 15, 2017. Offers may be submitted by email to thomas_hershberger@nps.gov.
