- This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for the Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Carson, CO Solicitation No. W911RZ-17-Q0035. The MICC Fort Carson on behalf of the Directorate of Public Works (DPW) intends to issue a solicitation under the Authority of FAR part 13, for the delivery and application of magnesium chloride dust palliative. The delivery and application of magnesium chloride dust palliative is to selected gravel roads on For Carson (El Paso County) and Piñon Canyon (Pueblo) Colorado. Contractor shall meet all requirements in accordance with application procedures of the SOW. Contractor will have 60 days to complete delivery and application. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any industry input as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests. It is the Government's intention to issue a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for this requirement. The proposed acquisition is a 100% small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325180. The Government will solicit and award this contract using simplified acquisition procedures, in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. The Government intends to award to the lowest price. SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: (a) NAICS: 325180 (b) EMPLOYEES: 1000 The formal solicitation is expected to be released on or about 19 May, 2017. When released, the formal solicitation, including all amendments, exhibits and attachments, will be available in electronic medium via www.fbo.gov (TELEPHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED) A question and answer period will be available when the formal solicitation is released. During that timeframe questions shall be submitted no later than the date specified in the solicitation. The government will provide its answers to the questions. The government will not guarantee a response to any question and/or clarifications after the submission deadline stated in the solicitation. All information regarding this requirement will be communicated via FBO (TELEPHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED). It is the responsibility of the contractor to continually view the website for any updates and amendments. Contractors interested in doing business with the Government must be registered with the SAM website accessed through https://www.acquisition.gov. Contractor must also ensure annual representations and certifications are current and complete. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a quote must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE code). Contractors must be registered with Wide Area Workflow at https://wawf.eb.mil/.
