- Description
- The General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service is seeking a design-build construction contractor to furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision to remove and replace the high velocity air handler units at the Bob Casey Federal Building in Houston, TX. Part of this project is to provide proper sizing. The work of the project is defined by the contract documents and includes the following; The General Contractor shall provide final and complete architectural and mechanical design drawings and specifications incorporated into complete construction drawings. The architectural design drawings shall be modified to provide design and specification of requirements for modification to existing mechanical system, electrical, walls and ceilings removal and replacement of existing High Velocity Units, painting of finishes. Design shall include all demolition, electrical, mechanical and plumbing requirements. The magnitude for this project is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The firm must be a General Construction firm under NAICS: 236220, small business size standard is $36.5 million. It is anticipated that this project will take approximately 240 calendar days from notice to proceed. Award of any resulting procurement will be based on a trade-off type of best value government methodology. The offeror shall obtain any and all necessary licenses or permits required to perform this work in the State of Texas. The project will require work to be performed within an occupied Federal Courthouse while minimizing disruptions to the operations of the existing facility. This requirement is set-aside 100% for SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS concerns. All responsible firms may submit an offer. The procurement is subject to availability of funds. The selection process will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 source selection procedures. The solicitation issue date will be on or about May 22, 2017. The solicitation closing date will be 30 days after the issuance of the solicitation package. The actual date and time will be identified in the solicitation. The proposal due date will be on or about July 6, 2017. The date for a pre-proposal conference will be established and posted as part of the Solicitation package. Attendance at this conference is vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost effective proposal and to understanding the total result desired by the Government. Failure to attend this meeting may not be used as an excuse for omissions and miscalculations in offers. Prospective contractors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and support documents from FedBizOpps website at www.fbo.gov and monitoring the website for amendments, if any, to the solicitation. All information, amendments and questions concerning this solicitation will be electronically posted at www.fbo.gov. All prospective offerors are required to use the System for Award Management www.sam.gov for registering their firm and completing representations and certifications.
