- DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: This is a DESIGN-BUILD project consisting of the "Repair Chapel Fellowship Hall Bldg. 301, Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa). The building is mainly made of 2 parts: one is the "Sanctuary" area; the other is the "Fellowship Hall&Services" area. From a structural point of view the building is composed by three separate sections: a. The original construction is a regular "L" sharpened building, one story b. An irregular addition on the west side, jointed to the existing taking advantage of the perimeter wall of this; c. An addition on the south side, two stories, with the vestibule of the Sanctuary and a few small rooms; d. The work consists of the complete renovation of the " Hall/services" area, including the demolition of the fellowship hall + the existing kitchen, to be replaced with a new structure. Internal layout shall also be modified. FUNDING: " This procurement action is subject to the availability of funds " LOCATION OF THE WORK: The site of the proposed work is Camp Darby, Tirrenia (Pisa) MAGNITUDE OF THE PROJECT: The magnitude of this project is between $ 500,000 and $ 1,000,000. METHOD OF CONTRACTING: This will be a Request for Proposal resulting in a firm fixed price contract. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The Performance Period will be 165 calendar days for design; 300 calendar days for construction for a total of 465 calendar days. SOA: Contractor is required to be SOA OG1 classification II qualified SITE VISIT: The site visit will be held on June 26, 2016 at 13:30 hrs at main gate no. 4 Camp Darby, Tirrenia(Pisa), Italy. MISCELLANEOUS: The solicitation package with all information about this project will be posted within few weeks on Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). To be awarded a government contract you MUST have DUNS (Dun& Bradstreet; tel: 02-28455379) and NCAGE (www.dlis.dla.mil/Forms/Form_AC135.asp) numbers and be registered in SAM(https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM). We will discuss this at the site visit. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: In order to participate all interested parties are invited to indicate their interest by submitting email not later than close of Business(COB) May 22, 2016 to the following address: cristina.pancaccini2.ln@mail.mil. PLEASE, SUBMIT A COPY OF ID CARD OR LICENSE DOCUMENT ( CARTA DI IDENTITA' OR PATENTE). Only the persons who have provided the personal data will be allowed to attend the site visit. The Guards will check the identification card at the Gate. The offerors not present on the list will be denied the entrance to the base.
