- The 502d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole source Decentralized Blanket Purchase Agreement (DBPA) to Gen Probe, Inc., effective 1 October 2017 for a base year plus 4 (1-yr) options. This DBPA is a follow-on requirement for the purchase of reagents and consumable items compatible with Gen Probe Luminometer 450i. The microbiology section of the laboratory at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center (WHASC) and other DoD Medical Treatment Facilities throughout Joint Base-San Antonio TX applies gene homology technique through the use of the Luminometer 450i which detects chemiluminescent emission from a wide range of microbial agents. This proves the microbiology lab with information to aid in identifying disease-causing bacteria. Gen Probe, Inc., provides the Luminometer 450i, to include service and maintenance, at no additional cost. The period of performance for this requirement is 1 October 2017 through 30 September 2022. The contractor shall furnish those reagents and consumable items required to operate the equipment. Gen Probe, Luminometer 450i is FDA approved and Hologic, Gen Probe, Inc., is the only company who owns the trademark and the sole supplier for the reagents and consumable covered The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516 and the size standard is 1,000 Employees. This notice is published for market research purposes only and is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation for offers. However, all responses received by 16 May 2017 at 10:00 AM CST will be reviewed and considered by the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Written responses must provide clear and concise documentation indicating a vendor's bona fide capability to perform delivery of the requested supplies. Please include the company's name, point of contact, address, phone number, email address, and website (if applicable). Also include DUNS number, CAGE Code and Tax ID. The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) www.sam.gov at time of award. Verbal responses to this notice are not acceptable and will not be considered. All information submitted shall support the vendor's definite capability to provide the commodities/supplies required, and all information shall be furnished at no cost to the Government.
