- Description
- The West Texas VA Health Care System (WTVAHCS), located at 300 Veterans Blvd., Big Spring, TX 79720, intends to enter into a firm-fixed-price award for the purchase of a Fuel Tank mounted on a trailer. The acquisition will take place under the authority of FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, and Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Specifications: Requirements: TANK Non-Highway rated. 300 gallon capacity Double walled tank Air testable 100% secondary containment Internal surge baffles Spring type emergency relief valve 2 mechanical type liquid level indicating gauge (F, ¾, ½, ¼, E) 2: fill cap REFUEL/DEFUEL CAPABILITIES Tank Top Mounted, rated 8 GPM (at nozzle) 12 Volt DC operation 22 Amp UL explosion-proof pump with gallon meter and totalizer Power provided by two (2) 140Ah reserve deep cycle batteries enclosed in waterproof plastic cases. Fuel dispensing and suction provided by (1) pump using a manual four-way bypass selector control valve. Mechanical gallon meter, fuel filter with replaceable filter element and hose are piped in series providing filtration in both modes. System hose of 1 inch I.D. by 25 feet long stored in a platform mounted retractable hose reel with brass female quick disconnect coupling and automotive type automatic shut-off valve with brass male quick disconnect coupling. Defuel hose will be 7/8 inch ID by 39 feet long with brass male quick disconnect coupling and storage tube. TRAILER Heavy duty straight frame (non-steering) Single axle 3,500 pound GVW for non-highway use. Painted black enamel frame. 15 MPH maximum speed Pneumatic all terrain tires 2 5/8 inch ball-coupler connection The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 333924 Industrial Truck, Tractor, Trailer, and Stacker Machinery Manufacturing. Any firms who wish to identify their interests and capability to provide this equipment must notify the Contract Specialist no later than 4:00 p.m. EST (3:00 p.m. CST), 05/11/2017. Such notification must include any documentation that includes certifications and description of product. Notification shall be e-mailed or faxed to Jessica Roman, Contract Specialist, jessica.roman@va.gov, fax: 432-517-4586. Upon receipt of any such notifications, the Contracting Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with the sole source procurement. Responses received will be evaluated, however; a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. To be considered as SDVOSB/VOSB firms must be verified by the VetBiz.gov registration site. This is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes.
