- Functional Specification for Submersible Band Saw Performance Work Statement for Submersible Band Saw The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to seek qualified vendors who have the capability and experience to manufacture a Submersible Band Saw for Decommissioning Bombs. This system is for demilitarizing munitions (bombs, rockets, etc) for which conventional melt-out of the explosive material is not possible. The objectives include the design and manufacture of the Saw and installation at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) located in McAlester, OK. This RFI is for informational purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to procure any supplies, or for the Government to pay for the information received. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this RFI or any follow-up information request. Consequently, no solicitation is being issued at this time. Therefore, no award will be made as a result of providing this information. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333249. The applicable small business size standard is 500. The Government anticipates awarding a Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract. The attached functional specification and performance work statement (PWS) are provided to further explain the requirement. Interested contractors should provide a breakout down of estimated costs and demonstrate that they possess the experience and capability to fulfill this requirement. Any proprietary information submitted should be identified as such and will be properly protected from disclosure. In addition, the following information is requested from interested sources. 1. Company Name, CAGE Code, Point of Contact, Phone Number, Email Address 2. Lead Time This market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. All information submitted will be held in a close hold status.
