Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) intends to award a Brand Name Sole Source contract to Dresser-Rand, Government Overhaul Program, Chula Vista, CA, for the replacement of equipment for No. 2 HPAC Cooler Manifold, in support of USS PRINCETON CG-59. Dresser-Rand is the authorized distributor of products parts and repair/maintenance services. Requirement includes parts to repair No 2 HPAC Cooler Manifold to manufacturer operating specifications. FLCSD will use Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition. The authority for soliciting a single source under simplified acquisition procedures is FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting Competition, which states that contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization). The proposed contract action is for a brand name only. The brand name and model number of the product(s) is: Cooler Manifold. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a)(6), the required justification documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 9 am 12 May 2017 PST via email to catherine.miller@navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
