Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 333112 (Lawn and Garden Tractor and Home Lawn and Garden Equipment Manufacturing) and whether or not these items requested are offered on a Federal Supply Schedule. The Department of Veteran s Affairs is seeking sources to provide a Zero-Turn Lawnmower. The vendor shall be able to provide a Brand Name (Hustler Super Z HD Part Number: 934935) offering the following salient characteristics: a. Engine: Preferred - Minimum 35 HP, air cooled, and Electronic Fuel Injection b. Deck: 60" cutting width Rear discharge 3 blade system with.25" thickness Cutting Depth range of 1" to 5.5" Deck lift will be foot operated Spindles with steel shafts and sealed ball bearings Drive will be electric PTO clutch c. Drive System: Dual Hydrostatic Oil cooled with minimum 9" fan Minimum 3 Gallon reservoir capacity Speed minimum will be minimum 15 mph d. Brakes: Will be automatic set upon handle release to operator dismount position e. Seat: Suspension style seat for added operator comfort 6 way adjustable seat f. Fuel Capacity: Minimum 12 Gallon fuel capacity g. Tires: Front - 13' x 6.5" - 6 Rear - 26" x 12" 12 Interested sources are requested to submit an email delineating qualification, capabilities, and experience for providing this product. Please include your business size with your submittal and whether or not this product is offered via Open Market or via FSS. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333112 and the small business size standard is 1,500 Employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Omar.Cante@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on May, 12, 2017.
