- The National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) is an active training facility for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The Knowledge, Resources and Technologies (KREATE) Building at the NCTC has 24,040 SF of finished space. The intent of this project is to decrease the amount of humidity often experienced within the KREATE building, especially during the summer months. Upgrades will include: removal of two overhead doors and replacing with wall infill and pedestrian doors; replacement of one existing air handler; replacement of one existing chiller and two chilled water pumps; installing a new dedicated outside air unit (DOAS) and a new roof hood. The work will include all necessary modifications and additions to ductwork, plumbing, electric wiring and controls. Additionally, temporary cooling may be necessary (depending on the season) to keep the building cool and dehumidified while work progresses. Additional specifications will be provided in the statement of work. Information on a site visit and instructions to obtain access to the site will be provided in the solicitation. The invitation for bid is scheduled for release on or about 24 May 2017. The bids will be due on or about 24 June 2017. The anticipated award date is on or about 24 July 2017. The acquisition will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside, Invitation for Bid through FedBizOpps. The Government may include options in the solicitation. The magnitude of the project is between $250,000 and $500,000. A Bid Guarantee, Performance Bond and Payment Bond will be required. This acquisition will result in a single fixed price construction contract. Award shall be made to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. This is an electronically issued acquisition. The Government will issue the invitation via FedBizOpps. Bids will be received in hard/paper copies only. Electronic and fax proposals will not be accepted. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered by this agency.
