Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research on behalf of the Charlotte, NC Healthcare Center, through this sources sought to help determine the availability of qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and Small Businesses (SB) to provide two (2) Orthodrive Two Speed Rotary Handpieces and attachments. The following outlines requirement features that the healthcare center requires: 2 EA MBQ-701 Two Speed Rotary Handpiece, Twin Trigger Large Bone Handpieces Drill with two speed rotary twin trigger. Drilling speed 0-1350 rmp. Reaming speed 0-300 rpm Handpieces shall be made or encased of stainless Steel construction. They must be totally sealed to prevent water from invading the internal motors and allows all of the power sets parts to go through an automatic washer. The handpieces shall be able to accept or have interchangeable size batteries such as large batteries for large bone work total joint procedures and small batteries for small bone work for sports medicine/ trauma. The drill handpiece shall fit both a reciprocator saw attachment and a small sagittal attachment for sports medicine or small bone work, drills, and suction attachment. The pin/wire driver adapter for the drill shall accommodate all sizes from 0.6mm to 4.0mm without changing attachments. Only need one wire/pin driver to do the job. The drill handpiece shall have the capability to attach an adapter for pulse lavage feature. The drill shall have a twin trigger rotary mechanism with instant forward, reverse, and oscillate drill/tap modes, and an attached/built in quick change drill/reamer gearbox eliminating dedicated attachments. The drill shall have 2 different speeds, speed ranging from 75-1300Rpm, reaming speed 20-300 Rpm, a torque of 17Nm or higher, and a cannulation diameter 4.2mm. The drill shall have a fast/slow switch at triggers allowing a toggle of a finger while the hand remains on the hand grip (one hand operation). Drill shall have a conical pin attachment to ensure NO wobble when using a Jacobs attachment. The Sagittal saw shall have a ratchet locking mechanism to secure blade, allowing the blade to stay on plane and no skiving of the blade. Batteries shall be made with Li-ion (lithium) technology and have a battery indicator gauge display on the back of each battery. Vendor shall provide replacement or repair of all equipment and batteries to the medical center at no additional charge for a period of 2 years. 2 EA Chuck Jacobs Style Attachment, Q-Series, Large 7.4mm(1/4 ) 2 EA Chuck Jacobs Style Attachment, Q-Series, Small 4mm (5/32 ) 2 EA Chuck AO Synthesis Attachments, Q-Series, Small 2 EA SB-704 Large Battery-Sterilizable 2 EA Sterilization Case, MBQ w/Sterile Batteries 2EA BC-700 Charger, Fitted w/CA-700 Must be able to provide brand name or equal to deSoutter Medical orthodrive. Equal products must be compatible with deSoutter Medical orthodrive drives, hand-pieces, adaptors, chucks, and batteries. They must be interchangeable. Delivery shall be made to the Charlotte, NC Healthcare Center. The capability statements received from this market research are for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. The Government will not assume any costs incurred by the contractor in the preparation of responses.
