Description
This announcement serves as a Sources Sought synopsis issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This Sources Sought synopsis is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation nor is this notice a request for quotation or proposal. DO NOT submit a quote or proposal in response to this synopsis. For the purpose of this acquisition, the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621 - Security Systems Services (Except Locksmiths). The purpose of this notice is to identify potential companies that are capable and qualified to provide the services required in accordance with the salient characteristics listed below. Any interested business concern shall provide the following: - Company name - Address - Point of Contact - Telephone number and e-mail address - Business size (if SB provides proof of certification, etc.) under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 561621 - Security Systems Services (Except Locksmiths). Which of the following would you see as your role in the performance of this potential requirement? (a) Prime contractor; (b) Subcontractor; or (c) Other Please describe. All responsible, capable, and interested business concerns serious about potentially submitting a response to any subsequent RFQ or RFP to provide these services/supplies are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this Sources Sought synopsis is voluntary and the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. All responses are due NLT 04:00pm MST, 18 May 2017. Please submit all responses electronically to the point of contact: A1C Ross Duval at ross.duval@us.af.mil. Salient Characteristics: Equipment shall consist of the following items, or equivalent design solution: - Lenel System and Schlage lock design solution. - System controller and power supply (door reader power supplies to be installed above each door). - One access control system server and admin console licensed to support the required number of access readers. - One HID FIPS compliant local enrolment reader at the admin console. - 14 FIPS 201-1 compliant locks with built in keypad readers and door position switches (locks must be capable of both hard-wired PIN entry and wireless RF badge reading entry). - All other associated hardware/software required to create a stand-alone access control system. Labor shall include, but is not limited to: - Installation, programming, and testing of all installed hardware/systems by factory certified technicians. - 4 hours of customer training for the installed system by factory certified technicians. - All work to be completed during normal business hours and with the current edition of the National Electric Code standard industry practices. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, personnel, facilities, equipment, transportation, scheduling, supervision, and materials to complete the services described herein. The contractor shall perform the badge access control system work in a most cost effective manner that will comply with Federal, State, and local regulations; to include but not limited to power and electrical regulations.
