- The National Park Service has a requirement for the following project: Replace North Rim Potable Water Distribution System Phase II at Grand Canyon National Park, GRCA 160057. If you are interested, please submit your detailed capabilities in WRITING via email to demonstrate same or similar experience (6 pages or less and must be specific to the scope provided). This is not a request for proposal or invitation to bid. There is no bid package, solicitation, specification or drawings available with this announcement. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought announcement or any follow-up information requests. If you chose to submit a package, clearly identify the park and project on your package (GRCA 160057- Grand Canyon National Park), your socioeconomic status (8(a), Hubzone, Service Disabled Veteran, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small) and follow-up two weeks after the announcement closes to check on the status of the project. You must also provide a letter from your bonding company verifying your bonding levels. Your response is due no later than COB MT May 22, 2017. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a set-aside or full and open competition "(the size of a small business firm includes all parents, subsidiaries, affiliates etc. see 13 CFR 121.103 and 13 CFR 121.108 What are the penalties for misrepresentation of size status? Analysis of the quantity and quality of responses to this sources sought notice will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement. GRCA 160057 - Grand Canyon National Park NAICS Code: 237110 Cost Range: $8,000,000 to $10,000,000 Estimated Period of Performance: 6 months Scope: B. The Work consists of the following but not limited to: 1. The Work includes replacement of water distribution lines located at the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park and generally including the following: a. Approximately 22,000 linear feet of water mains and service laterals b. New fire hydrants, valves, meters, and spigots c. Asphalt replacement and revegetation in similar climate 2. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Contractors should address the following Criteria in their capability statements: 1) Experience performing the following work: a. Replacement of water distribution lines. b. Experience as a prime contractor on projects of a similar scale and complexity. c. Experience working on remote projects with natural resource, cultural resource, and visitor/public management considerations. d. Project management experience including client reporting, sharepoint systems, CPM scheduling, etc. 2) Relevance of Project Experience to this project: a. Difficult project coordination, communication, security, and logistics on remote projects c. Work on projects involving waterline replacement d. Cultural resource-sensitive projects e. Projects with high-visibility and public interest
