- Issuing sources sought for veteran businesses (SDVOSB/VOSB) and any small businesses dated 5/9/2017. The veteran business must be registered in SAM and certified in VETBIZ (VIP). The small businesses must be registered in SAM. Wilkes Barre VA has a requirement for services to provide and install a temperature sensor in the facility s elevated water storage tank to monitor temperature within tank in accordance with Joint Commission requirements. Temperature sensor shall report temperature back to existing Johnson Controls Metasys building management system. Johnson Controls Metasys building management system is already in place throughout the entire Medical Center. All critical building management components are tracked and monitored through the building management system. Refer to the Statement of Work below. Johnson Controls is the only party authorized to install and work on the Metasys building management system. Vendors responding to this sources sought will have to be certified by Johnson Controls as a company capable of servicing Johnson Control systems. Vendors must supply Name of company, address, P.O.C. telephone number and email. Also, submit Duns and Tax ID numbers. You must provide documentation from Johnson Control certifying your company as an authorized distributor or dealer. Replies to this sources sought are due Fri. 5/11/2017 at 10:00 am. Email information to donna.toliver3@va.gov STATEMENT OF WORK WATER TOWER TEMPERATURE MONITORING The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to provide and install one temperature sensor in the water tower at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center. Work shall include the following: Johnson Controls water temperature sensor Plumbing installation of new temperature well Electrical installation of new sensor wiring in existing conduit Tie-in of new sensor into the existing Johnson Controls Building Automation system Calibration and testing of the temperature sensor The contractor shall site verify all dimensions and conditions. All work must be done in accordance with all federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Workmanship shall follow the standards set forth in VA Master Specification 23 09 23 Direct-Digital Control System for HVAC.
